When it comes to makeup on your wedding day, you want to be flawless! Whether you do your own makeup or hire a professional here are few things to consider:
Do a gentle mask on your skin a couple days before and night before. Hydrate your skin appropriately the day of for a mega glow.
Apply a foundation primer for your skin type to ensure makeup will stay in place for the entire day into the evening. Wear a foundation that is the exact match for your skin so it doesn’t show a line on your neck and needs to be the correct undertone. If you don’t wear makeup normally, go with a very sheer tint option to even your skin tone in areas that need it like redness or broken capillaries, or conceal and hide any blemishes. I recommend getting your exact makeup match months ahead of time. Be sure to set makeup with a translucent powder to keep makeup in place.
Wear blush and bronzer to add a little more pop to the cheeks. I love a glow, so cream blush is one of my go-to products! You want to be sure you don’t look washed out for pictures, and blush helps with that. A blushing bride is so gorgeous in photos!
Use an eye primer on the eyelid to keep eyeshadow from creasing.
Wear some eyeliner, I love tight lining the waterline at the very least and I love a soft or dramatic smokey eye on a bride as well. It all depends on the individual, eye shape, and comfort level for eyeliner.
Find a good mascara that will not smear or run I have several favorites! Apply a lip stain or a long-wearing lip pencil to keep the lipstick color from bleeding. I also have some favorite tinted lip balm for my natural brides that are so soft and pretty and feel comfortable.
If you want to add false lashes on your wedding day for more volume and pop you need to try them out months before the wedding to get used to the way they feel and look. Some of my brides opt to add lash extensions which look amazing but do require maintenance and added costs but really can add that wow effect!
And last, but not least your smile will light up a room, so be dazzling, and do just that!
Happy Wedding wishes loves, you got this!
