TIP NO. 2
Gather Inspiration That Reflects YOU
Gather together pictures of makeup looks you like, as many as you like but remember this is your wedding not a date night out. You want to look like yourself, just a more polished elegant version. Now is not the time to try red lipstick for the first time.
You want your pictures to reflect you and who you are and your natural beauty so keep that in mind when pulling looks. Tab or tear pages out of your wedding magazines and keep them in your wedding calendar to show when you meet with the Makeup Artist. You can collaborate on your perfect look.

Do A Trial Run With a Trusted Makeup Artist
Book an appointment with trusted makeup artist of your choice to do a trial run a couple months before your wedding day. This will ensure you are feeling good about the look on yourself and give you time to see the look with your wedding gown. If you are OK not doing a trial run, that is ok. Most likely, a professional makeup artist will do a great job without a trial it is totally up to you. Most importantly you just want to make sure you feel your best and confident on the big day.

OFFER MAKEUP TO YOUR FAMILY & BRIDAL PARTY
Your wedding is such a special day, and sharing this moment with your dear closest friends and family you’ve chosen to be in your wedding is an honor. It is nice to offer makeup as a gift to your bridesmaids, your mother, your groom’s mother, grandmothers and flower girls, and any other special friend dear to you. Getting ready to have all your nearest and dearest together with light bites and perhaps a celebratory festive drink makes for a super fun and special time to celebrate you, never to be forgotten.

Book Your Makeup Artist & Pay in Advance
Lock it in on their calendar at least a few months to a year out (depending on the time of year and if a popular wedding month). Also, be prepared to pay at least half of the wedding makeup cost upfront to lock in your wedding date not just for your makeup artist. You can also expect this with hairdressers, photographers, videographer, venue, etc.
